Our ministry as catechists is to be co-workers of Jesus, extending the good news of his kingdom, in sharing our faith with the children of God, so that they may get to know Him and to love Him.
We are catechists formed by the Word and nourished by the sacraments;
commited to give ourselves as instruments of God.
With a firm knowledge of ouf faith and a deep relationship with Christ,
we aim to share with your children and with you the
precious treasures of our Catholic Tradition
with love, patience and care.
Sessions for Children's Faith Formation are on Saturdays from 10:30-12:00 noon. Complete calendars are available at registration.
While we accept students all year around, no one who is not coming to us from a Catholic School or another Faith Formation Program will be admitted into First Reconciliation and First Communion classes.
One full year of faith formation is the norm before a student is admitted into Sacramental formation. In the case of students entering our program late the year before our Sacramental year, we will meet with the parents and catechist at the end of the first year to evaluate the readiness of the student to enter into the Sacramental classes. This is also the procedure for students who miss more than five sessions in one year.
If your child is hospitalized, or cannot attend for an extended period, please inform the Faith Formation Office early, so that the catechist can be informed and materials can be prepared for home teaching. If you feel you are not able to instruct your child, we will assign a catechist to the home for the duration of the illness at a time agreeable to you and the catechist.
